On February 1, 2025, at Festival Mall in Alabang, we witnessed the culmination of skill and determination at the ASEAN International Jiu Jitsu Open Championship. Organized by the Philippine Asian Sports Jiu Jitsu Inc. in partnership with the Asian Sport Jiu Jitsu Federation Inc. Association, this event brought together some of Asia’s finest jiu-jitsu practitioners for a day of intense competition.
At Over Limit Jiu-Jitsu Academy Cavite x Manila, we are proud to make our mark on this prestigious tournament. Despite being outnumbered by larger teams from other academies, our athletes have demonstrated remarkable skill and perseverance—securing gold medals across their respective categories:
- Male Adult 18 White Light (Nogi): Aguja John
- Male Adult 18 White Medium Heavy (Nogi): Bryan Gonzales
- Male Master 36 Blue Feather (GI): Jomer Gregorio
Our success at this championship event can be attributed not only to our talented athletes but also to the invaluable guidance provided by Over Limit Jiu Jitsu Academy Head Coaches Carl (Manila) and Anthony (Cavite). Their strategic coaching was instrumental in preparing these champions for such an esteemed tournament.
