
April 5 – 11, 2025 – The vibrant city of Tuguegarao in Cagayan played host to the PRISAA National Games 2025, an event that brought together over 20,000 participants from across the country.
Among the many talented athletes who showcased their skills were Yohan Zambrano, representing Region 4A, the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta – Molino Campus, and Titans Dambalasik MMA Gym. Yohan’s remarkable performance culminated in him winning the gold medal in the bantamweight category.
This championship win is a reflection of Yohan’s unwavering dedication and hard work in the sport. His success is also a tribute to the excellent guidance provided by his boxing head trainer, Coach Noel. The support from his team and the rigorous training at Titans Dambalasik MMA Gym have also been instrumental in shaping Yohan into a formidable boxer.
The PRISAA National Games 2025, hosted by the University of Cagayan Valley (UCV), marked a significant event in the country’s grassroots sports development. With its theme of “Sustaining the Country’s Inclusive Grassroots Sports Program as a Pathway to the Olympics,” the games highlighted the importance of nurturing young talent to produce future world-class athletes. Yohan’s achievement not only brings pride to his region and university but also underscores the potential of grassroots sports programs in fostering champions.
